Read Across America Week!

This week we are celebrating Read Across America.  Dr. Seuss's birthday is also this week so we have been doing different reading activities related to Dr. Seuss.  The students have also had fun with rhyming words.

On Tuesday we made our own Thing 1 and Thing 2 posters.

Students worked hard to create the bodies for their Thing 1 and Thing 2.

Anayeli used a photo of her own face to make her Thing 1 and Thing 2.

Students painted their hands blue and used their hands to add fun hair to Thing 1 and Thing 2.

We then completed a poem that went with our Thing 1 and Thing 2 posters.  Nathan created a cool poem.

To end our week, we used the Smartboard to practicing our rhyming skills.  Above, Keven rolled two dice to see if he could find a pair of rhyming words.  Sadly, shoe and jar did not rhyme.

Jasmin took a turn to see if she could find a rhyming pair.
