Today is the last day of school before winter break. To get into the holiday spirit, students in the CLC Breakfast Club participated in different holiday-themed challenges throughout the week. Students had to use problem solving skills and critical thinking skills to do their best at each task. The students had lots of fun doing each activity. Check out the photos of some of the different activities we did this week.

Holiday Card Pen Pals
This past week we were busy making holiday cards for different pen pals around the world. Ms. Maniaci, our school librarian, helped us with this project. The holiday cards had to have something to do with snowmen. We decided to paint a winter scene that included a snowman. We also learned how to make snowflakes by cutting them out of paper to help decorate the front of our cards. It was fun making our cards. We hope that our pen pals will like them.
We just put our cards in the mail this morning. One of the schools that will get our cards is in Canada. We also sent holiday cards to schools in different states like Massachusetts, Missouri, North Carolina, California, Ohio, Tennessee, Pennsylvania, and Virginia. We are excited to see which school we will get our first holiday card from.
Jasmin, Moises, and Hector worked hard on painting their cards. They used a paper stencil to help paint the trees. |

Nathan enjoyed looking at the map to find where some of our holiday pen pals lived. |
Keven and Anayeli used scissors and crayons to make the snowmen for their cards. |
